Swim 4 All won at VCAT this week. The judge ruled that the Swim 4 All program helping children with special needs and disabilities and their families is a fabulous, low impact program that should be run from the perfect private facility at Murrumbeena. Classes can now be run until 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Swim 4 All was represented by Freehills Lawyers who did a terrific job in explaining the Swim 4 All program to the judge, who was very empathic to our cause.
The swim 4 Special needs foundation also had two representatives at the hearing: Suzie and John who provided valuable information regarding our program.
The judge also chastised the Glen Eira council regarding their unwillingness to provide space at the new GESAC facility for the Swim 4 All program.
All in all the case could not have gone better and the effort and expense was well worth the result.
Thanks to all involved. Hopefully we can welcome some new families who need lessons to the Murrumbeena pool now!
